NORMAN OBIE Mr. Norman Obie, aged 74 years, of Beausejour, MB, dearly beloved husband of Joyce, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2003 at the Beausejour Hospital. Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife Joyce; sons, Clifford (Darlene), Gerald (Lori), Jim (Debbie) his daughters, Darlene (Dwight), Donna (Terry) and Debbie (Gord) 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother Linda; his brothers, Orlin and Arvid; his sisters, Irene, Gladys, Lyla; also many nieces and nephews. Dad was born on his homestead in Beausejour and resided in the area all his life. Dad had numerous jobs over the years with the last being AECL in Pinawa, until illness forced him to retire early. He loved to tell stories about his work. Dad enjoyed his home in the country, especially sitting outdoors in his chair watching the birds and most of all, Dad loved his visits from all his family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Kilmartin officiating. Interment will follow in the Town of Beausejour Cemetery.
